Book Review: Under the Never Sky

Standard

Author: Veronica Rossi

Genre: YA

Summary: WORLDS KEPT THEM APART.

DESTINY BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER.

Aria has lived her whole life in the protected dome of Reverie. Her entire world confined to its spaces, she’s never thought to dream of what lies beyond its doors. So when her mother goes missing, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland long enough to find her are slim.

Then Aria meets an outsider named Perry. He’s searching for someone too. He’s also wild – a savage – but might be her best hope at staying alive.

If they can survive, they are each other’s best hope for finding answers.

Review: Loved it! I really liked the dual MC’s. It helped to show every side of this dystopian world. Dual MC’s has become a favorite of mine for this very reason and Veronica nailed it!

The character arc of Aria (the female MC) was perfect. I liked that she was weak in the beginning of the story and I was able to move with her as she found her strength. Likewise, I was surprised by Perry’s (the male MC) arc. He was always strong, even to the end, but his arc was a lot more emotional and internal.

Also, best cliffhanger since Catching Fire!

Recommendation: READ!
